A Blog on Breathing Techniques By Rebekah Wall.
This fantastic guest blog post was created to help anyone looking for new techniques to manage stress and anxiety. The breathing techniques below give you some of the best information that Rebekah has found and what has worked for her. We hope you enjoy this read and you learn something new that can help.
Breathing Techniques can be used for basically anything, to prevent anxiety attacks, to get you out of panic attacks, to help you sleep, to remain calm before a big exam, to increase your lung capacity, and many more.
There are many posts to write and talk about but this is a specific topic I have wanted to get out for a long while now. However, I was always worried I would give the readers the wrong information to follow or not enough.
However, I figured if I give you a few tips and pieces of advice for each of the following, you can make your own assumptions and click on the links provided (these will be the underlined words), finding the best method for you.

1.Relaxing the Body
2.Contemplating Life
3.Relaxing Break
4.Relaxing Scents.
5.Just Taking a Breather.
6.A Balanced Diet.
Breathing Techniques to help subdue panic, and anxiety attacks and reduce stress.
The list below shows a range of breathing techniques to help you during your day. These can be done anywhere.
There are definitely more that can be used, but here are some that can help you straight away during any panicky moment.
Sensory Objects
At any time during the day, if you need something to fidget with or if it is to help you calm down from a situation, the form of Grounding can come into place. Grounding really helps me during an overwhelming amount of stress and during an anxiety attack.
Grounding
This is a skill you can use by yourself or with someone else. It allows you to stay in the present whilst you are suffering from an overwhelming amount of stress, anxiety, panic attacks, PTSD, etc. It allows you to focus and reorient yourself, pulling you back into reality. You can use this, using 5 steps to follow and/or holding an object. (University of New Hampshire, c2023)
Upon searching through Etsy I have found a great seller who sells sensory and fidget toys. I bought two different types, both different from each other but both have helped me immensely, during work, at home, and whilst in public. The shop's name is called, SensoryToyStore. Their products are reasonably priced from other shops and are of good quality.
